GERMANY'S LOST COLONIES
SYDNEY COMMENT m. ~o j Sydney. October 7. The "Sydney Morning Herald," in a leader on bermany's colonies, says:— Samoa has not been used for the benefit of anybody but German officials. Australia and New Zealand know tliat Germany must bo beaten, even if the war takes three years. With Germany beaten, Samoa and the rest of the islands will remain where thoy should have been originally placed—in British hands."
