GERMAN RAIDING CRUISERS
COAL THROUGH SECRET AGENTS Cape Town, October 6. The German cruiser Eber left tho Cape before the outbreak of tho war, and a letter addressed to her commander which was intercepted contained instructions dated June 14, revealing a complete system for coaling the German navy, in the event of an outbreak of war, through secret agents iu Cape Town, New York, and Chicago. It was arranged that colliers should leave Table Bay, ostensibly, for England, and meet the warships at an. agreed rendezvous.
