The following message has been dispatched by His Excellency the Governor to the Governor-General of Australia:— ' . ■ . "Please convey tho following message: Tho New Zealand forces are looking forward to greeting their comrades from Axistralia, and being associated with them in the present great Imperial undertaking. This Dominion gratefully .recognises the valuable assistance already given to New Zealand by the loyal Australian Navy in connection with the operations in Samoa-, and only regrets that it has not been possible for the meeting between the two contingents to_ take place at an earlier -date. (Signed) Liverpool."
