"Tlio Times" correspondent at Nish, Sorvia, says half the population of Bclgrado has taken refuge there, and the town is densely crowded/ The British Legation occupies half a dirty room i a grubby hotel. Tlio Minister of War is housed in tlio Bishop's Palace. Outside a small cafe hangs an ink-written fikn, "The Servian Parliament." 'The spirit of the nation is wonderful. Reservists arrive from the fields, drop tho scythe, shoulder the rifle, say "Au revoir," and march to battlo as to' a mew field of golden grain. Tho Servians are disappointed at the poor fighting of the Austrians. M'ouiided Servians said the Turks and Bulgars were much better, adding, "We havo heard the- Japs mo good soldiers, and we would like to fight them next tune."
