Marmaros-Szigeth is about 130 miles duo south of Letnberg, and is a town of about 21,000 people. It is beautifully situated at tho influx of the Iza into the Tisza, and is surrounded by mountainous and wooded country. Hossumezo lies eight or nino miles to tho west.
