THORNDON CLUB. The annual' , meeting of the Thorndon Amateur Swimming Club wae held in the Hotel Cecil last night. Mr T Roynane presided. Tlie annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. ; A communication was received from the Wellington Centre to the effect that the rules had been altered by reducing the number of delegates to one.— Received. .. ■ ■ <
Messrs. H. W. Harris and A. W. Smith were appointed delegates. • • The election of officers for the ensiling year resulted as. follows:—Patron, Sir Joseph Ward; president, Mr. T. Roynane; rice-presidente, the Hon. A L. Herdman, Dr. A. L. Anderson,' Messrs. J. E. Henrys, J. P. Maxwell H. Boauchamp, O. Brice, H. Nelson H. Lee, R. H. Holmes, C.- Aldous, J L. Atkins, H. W. Cooper, and R. Fletcher; captain, Mr.' R. Nelson; vicecaptain, Mr. K. Wiggins;' deputy-cap-tam, Mr. W. J. O'Meara; deputy-vice-captain, Mr. F. Reynolds; treasurer, Mr. H. W. Harris; committee, 'Messrs A. Shearer, W. Lomas, A. W. Smith, K. Robertson, J., D. Burns, 0, Sheehv, and T. H. King; secretary, Mr. F. R. Webster; auditor, Mr. A. T. Clarke. Nine new members were elected' to tho club.
The usual votes of thanks concluded the meeting.
