SUNDAY CONCERT.
There was a good attendance at the concert given in His Majesty's Theatre last evening by the New Zealand Natives' 'Association's band, under Lieut. T. Herd. The band played a ver.y interesting descriptive fantasia ontitled "An Italian Carnival" (Pecorini), introducing in musical form thoso elements which are common to the carnivals of Latin countries; a descriptive morceau, "The Forge in the Forest'' (Cope), with anvil effects; and the marches' "On Tour" (White) and "Defenders" (Moorehouse), 'a vivacious composition dedicated to t'ho Territorials. Miss M. Caseby played as a violin solo "The.Prayer" (Wiokens); Mr.' R. S. Allwright sail" with meaningful spirit "The Trumpeter (Dix) and "The Roll Call" Pinsuti), the "latter with a cornet obbligato by Mr. B. J. Shardlow; and Mr. Harry Phipps sang "The Sailor's Grave" (Sullivan) and " 'Mid the Hush of the Com" (Temple). Air. Hollow acted as accompanist.
