LANDING PARTY'S SUCCESS Toklo, October 1. The Japanese siege guns sahk a German destroyer at Tsingtau. A Japanese steamer engaged in mine-sweeping has been blown up and another damaged. Four men were killed and nineteen woundod. '~.■'' The German warships are heavily cannonading the Japanese position. Two Japanese' officers have been killed. ~ ' Poking, October 2. The Japanese have landed marines and occupied Laoshan outer harbour, capturing eight guns.
