Arrivals of .mported fruits increased slightly during the past week, me'oting a very payable market in all cases. The first shipment of American oraiigcs is due during the next few days, and will bo very wekamo. Cool-stored localgrown apples «m) in good demand, all lines commanding good prices. Rhubarb, green peas, and asparagus are coming to hand freely, meeting a kceW demand. Vegetables generally are in fair supply, values having eased, in most cases duning the week. Onions are firm, but potato values continue to decrease.
Yesterday's approximate values were: Sydney oranges, 155., 18s. 6d. per case; Mildura" oranges, 16s. to 19s. 6d. per case; Mildura lemons, 19s. to 21s. per case; Sydnoy lemons, 15s. to 18s. per mandarins, 15s. to 21s. per case; passionfruit, Bs. to 10s. per quarter case; queen pines, 14s. to 16s. per case; pineapples, 9s. 6d.,t0 12s. 6d. per case; bananas, Bs. to 9s. 6d. per ease; tomatoes, Is.
