r-*— —— ■ There was a large audience at tho Bailors' Friend Society Institute last' "vening, when Mr., and Mrs. T. E. Jones provided a inost enjoyable concert. Mr. James Mooro, . 'Missionor, presided. Tho following contributed items to tho programme:—Mrs. Mentiplay, Misses I. Jones, Blacklock, R. Dodds, D. Jones, Thompson, M. Jones, •Jefferson, Messrs. V. Jones, Walker, Jones (H.M.N.Z.T. No. 10), Parkin (H.M.N.Z.T. No. 5). Mrs. Easson and Mr. Curtis (H.M.N.Z.T. No. 5) acted as accompanists. The performers wore accorded a hearty voto of thanks at tho conclusion of tho concert. The platform was most tastefully decorated with (lowers by tho Misses Fulton and Kemp. Mr. Moore announced that Mrs. M. A. Williams would open the sale of work next Wednesday, to be held in aid of the funds of tho society. Owing to tho largo distribution of literature to tho crows of tho various vessels leaving this port, tho society would bo glad of any gifts of books, magazines, etc.
