Despite the superior German artillery, a Belgian battery at Audegan, after losing seventeen gunners, silenced the German battery. The bombardment of tho forts Waelhem and AVavre continues. The Germans regained Alost by a iusb. A hundred disguised as peasants arrived in country carts, and suddonly uncovered machine guns and poured a hail of load on soldiers and civilians.
