WELLINGTON SHAKE MARKET. ! In 1 the mining market yesterday there • were sales of Waihi at 325. 9d., and Waihi ' Grand Junction at 23a. There was only on® quotation, recorded, that' of Talisman, which was offered at 275. 6d., with no declared buyers, • STOCK EXCHANGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.! Auckland, September 30. Business was dull on the Stock, Exchange to-day. The following sales were effected:— .. Talisman, £t 7s. Waihi, £113 a., £1 lJs. 3d., £1 13b. 6d. Waihi Grand Junction, £1 3s. 3d. ROSS GOLDFIELDS. . The' secretary of the Ross Goldflelds Reconstructed, Ltd., has received tho following report on the work at the mine for the week ending September 24:—No'. 6 Level: On account of tho fall, of earth in No. 1 raco tunnel on the 14th, and tho consequent accumulation of water, owing to the closing of Gaeeius lock, whilßt repairs were being effected, no work hoe been carried on at this level. The water is now rapidly draining off. No. 7 Level: Tho west drive is out 75 feet from No. 7 plat. At the intermediate level, No. 1 south-west drive has been extended 16, feet, No. 2 Bouth-west 19 feet, and No. 3 southwest 19 feet, all those faces being in payable wash. Off No. 1 south-west and just cloar of old workings, No. 1 north-west has been commenced, and will be continued to determine the boundary of tho pay wash area in that direction. Two other faces are being worltod in blocks of tho old workings.
