A meeting of tho executivo of tho Wellington Wharf Labourers' Union was held last night to consider union business and certain matters concerning tho union's secretary (Mr. 15. J. Jones), 'flie president of the union made a lengthy statement to members of the executive, to wliicli statement the secretary replied. The president is stated to have intimated his intention to exercise bis authority in connection with the offico of secretary. Tho execntivo of the union is to sit to-day, and a mooting of tho members of the union will-be held as soon as possible.
