POULTRY, PIGEON. & CANARY SOCIETY
Mr. George Finn (president) occupied the chair at the thirty-second annual meeting of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association on Friday evening. The report and balance-sheet disclosed a satisfactory condition of affairs. The expenditure; for the past season amounted to £220 9s. 5d., and the receipts to £242 15s. Id. The assets include plant £80, bank balance £17 10s. 10d., cash in hand £3 Us., and investment for trophy £11 13s. lOd. There are no liabilities. Tho" election of officers resulted as follows:—Patrons, Messrs. A. Simpson, E B. Bristow, F. Towtisend; president, Mr. George Finn; vice-presidents, Messrs. T. Doig, D. Murphy, H. E., Airth, and Mrs. J. Martin; treasurer, Mr. D. Kean; secretary, Mr. S. M'lver; auditors, Messrs./"Gold and.Arcus; trustees, Messrs. A. Simpson and T. Jameson; committee, Messrs. Gordon, Thomas, Davey, Copp, Bailey, Brattle, Fearn, Goer. Smith, Stethers, M'Lennan. and Allen. .Mr. Doig was elected a life member. A vote of thanks was Passed to the retirhiE officers.
