RUMANIA'S ATTITUDE
KING FOR GERMANY, PEOPLE FOR ALLIES (Reo. September 27, 4 p.m.) Milan, September 26. The "Secolo" reports a conflict .between the King of Rumania and his Ministers. The King actuated by famuy ties with.the addressed the Crown Council, and produced a secret alliance treaty, and insisted that Rumania should march to Germany's and Austria's side. The Ministers resisted, and the King is finding thatthe popular feeling is against him. He is accused of seizing every opportunity to commit a breach of neutrality, and has supplied German naval reserves with provisions, cannon, and numerous bellicose provisions Bukarest is acclaiming British and French victories and is demanding war against Austria. . King Carol of Rumania is a Princo of the German House of HohenzollernSigmaringen. He was elected "Domn," or Lord of Rumania, in 1666, and was proclaimed King in 1881. The Queen (Carmen Sylva) is also a German princess.
