BELGIAN LOAN TO BE FREE OF INTEREST

Mr. Lloyd George, Chancellor of the Exchequer, in a *peoch at Criccieth, announced that Britain would not charge Belgium interest on tlie £10,000,000 loan. • ' ' ' Continuing, Mr. Lloyd George said fourteen years ago he stood on the same platform and opposed the South African war, a.nd the majority of his neighbours 'opposed it; But Britain to-day was engaged ix\ a. righteous war. It took fifteen 'years to break Napoleon. It would not take so long to vanquish the Kaiser, but Britain was going to see it through.
