WRECKAGE WASHED ASHORE
SUPPOSED RELICS OF WHITE ISLAND TRAGEDY. (By Telegraph—Prees Association.) Tauranga, September. 25. A portion of smashed houses, part of. a boat branded "Auckland No. 3," and part branded "Auckland," also bedsteads, chairs, part of a tramline, and woodwork, also a portion of a wharf, have been found on the beach about two miles east of Mount Maunganui, at the. entrance to Tauranga Harbour. These are presumably from White Island. Altogether there'are several tons of WTCckage. A search of the coast is being made. • .
