FOOD COMMISSION
PROCLAMATION MAY BE ISSUED TO-DAY. As announced by the Prime Minister a few days ago an interim report has been received by the Government from the Food Stuffs Commission, embodying a recommendation as to the price at which wheat and flour may be sold in the Dominion. Inquiries having been made as to when this recommendation will be given elFoct to, the Primo Minister was asked for. a statement Inst .evening. Mr. Massey said: "A littlo delay has been caused by tlio fact thnt the chairman of tlio Commission expected to be able to personally confer with me in Wellington, but unfortunately I was absent in Auckland when the Commission passod through Wellington. There were ono or two small points which required to lie reconsidered by tho Commission, mid this has been done. A written stjitoment is now on its way to me, and I expect that we shall b<3 ablo to isnuu tho necoasary proclamation to-day.,"'
