The performers include Miss Rosa Loader, who clevorly burlesques; the' "domestic slavy" ; Violet Carmen and Mr. A. J. Law- : ronc'ej the Quealys, bright comedians; (Jio Angolo, and others. THE, KING'S THEATRE. "A Woman's Triumph" or "The Heart of Midlothian," which was introduced in ..the King's Theatre at the beginning of the 'week, may be seen again to-night and to-morrow, night. "Married for Money," a society "feature"'by the Film D'Art Company, figured as. the leading item in yesterday's new programmo of the Empress Theatre'.' Mrs. 'Desmond, a. wealthy widow, is anxious that n'er daughter Ida will wed Paul Clayton. Laura, thu adopted daughter of Mrs. Desmond, is keeping, seoret appointments with Serge, a worthless adventurer, .who persuades Laura to introduce him to the Desmonds. Ida Desmond immediately falls in love with Serge, who is determined to win her to gain her fortune. Owing to the earnest entreaties of Ida her engagement with Paul is broken off, and she weds Serge. Laura, disappointed at Serge abandoning his lovo for her, •marries Morgan, a banker. Serge now commences dissipating his young wife'sfortuno,,and acts so dishonourably that Mrs. Desmond realises the folly of her daughter's marriage. The police come to arrest Serge on a charge'of fraud. v Mrs. Desmond offers him a revolver with which to shoot himself, but he attempts to, escape, and. is shot. Tito play is adapted from a famous French" novel. There is a numerous selection of supporting films. Last night the management introduced a series of. pictures showing tho f arowell to the troops at Newtown Park, the inspection by His Excellency, tho Governor, the troops passing through the city, and the embarkation. ;''.'
