Members were put through various courses of ambulance work, under the supervision of'Assist-' aait-Oommissioner ;H.; li. Seed. The Concert' Committee reported that good progress was being made in connectionwith the Patriotic • entertainment to be given by Jliss Flora' Shaw, in aid of tho St. John. Ambulance Brigade., 1 , A .division of the St. J'oliii Ambulance Association has b.een formed at Lower Jbiutt, and 21 members have been enrolled, Miss i 3. Welch being appointed secretary. The classes commence next Tuesday, when Dr. will bo tho lecturer. • Bro. G. Eose, C.T., presided at the weekly Meeting of the Hope of Petone Lodge of _ Good, Templars, • which was held on Wednesday. Bro. G. Petherick, G.S., and Sister Winter,'E.D., members of Pioneer Lodge, Wellington, were present at the meeting, and there was also present Bro. Ford, C.T., of Hope of (Jbristehurch Lodge. During the evening presentations were made to Bro. Hume, winner of the hat-trimming competition, and Bro. Rose for the darning competition held at last week's meet-
