The Germans destroyed the wells withm thirty miles of the frontier, ren. dering an attack from Gordonia, South.. West British Beohuanaland, difficult. Kakamas is a small settlement 220 miles north-east of the railway station of Prifiska. It is on the Orangd River, and is about 80 miles from the border of German South-West Africa.
