KAIOCHAU BOMBARDED
JAPANESE USE WATEBPLANES. (Rec. September 22, 6.40 p.m.) Tokio, September 21. The Japanese are employing waterplanes to drop bombs in Kaiochau, the machines subsequently returning to the warships. Some of the forts are bomb-proof. The garrison is granted one day in three for liberty in town. The reservists are living in deserted private residences. The shops and restaurants have been opened, and music halla and moving picture shows are open nightly.—("Times" and Sydney 'Sun" Services.)
