Cotton Stapleton, of Napier, are on a visit to St. Mar-garets-at-Clift'e, in' Kent. Mr. Joseph Partington of Auckland, who is at present iii London, returns to New Zealand in September. Miss B. J. Mowat, of Dunedin, who arrived on July 11; lias just returned from Paris. ..She intends travelling in Scotland in September.. Miss N. W. Anderson, of Amherley, who bas recently' arrived in England, ■intends to spend, three or four months touring in England, Ireland, and Switzerland. . , ■ Mr. arid Mrs.N, J. M., Rein, of Invercargill, who are accompanied by the Misses .V.. and.E.:Desehhjr, are staying at 'tlio--Kenil>vorth v -'Hb'Klr. They leave for New Zealand on October-16.. .. Mr. A. ' _, . The Misses A. and M. van Staveren siient a few days at Brighton last week. The Misses Rosa and Lena van Staveren, who started for a long tour of the Continent, returned to London on August 1 on account of the 'war. Mr. Harold Williams, of .New Zea- . land, is acting as special correspondent at St. Petersburg for.t'lio "Daily Clironiole." His brother, Mr. Aubrey Wil-. liams, has also joined the Russian forces as an adlitional representative of the «ame journal. Mr. William Pearce, of Auckland, has been in London, and paid a visit to tiie Isle of Wight since his arrival in June.! He has invested in a motor-car in whien he intends 'to tour England. In a. tew weeks' time he leaves for Now Xork and Vancouver, en route to New Zealand. Mr. and Mrs. Frederick G. Woollama, of Feilding, who are accompanied by their daughter, Miss Woollams, have spent somo time with relatives and friends in Yorkshire since their arrival in May. They are now in London, and later intend going to Cornwall and Mr. J. A. Heginbotham, J.P., of Wellington, who is accompanied by his daughter, Miss Gladys Heginbotham, has heen visiting relatives and friends ui the Midlauds and Lancashire, it was his intention to go to Pans for threo mouths, and after that to tour Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. .. . Miss M. J. Denniston, of Cbristcburch, lm just arrived m London from Canada, where she spont two months in Kegina with her cousins, Dr. Grace and Miss Nora Armstrong, formerly of Dunedin During this month she will tour Scotland, and in September hopes to spend somo time in Italy, France, and Switzerland. • , . , Miss Adeline Gilmore, of Auckland, who travelled through America en route for London, spent last wintev with relatives in AVinnipeg, Canada. She was .recently on tho Continent, and will spend the rest of her holiday visiting relatives in Lancashire. She expects to be back in New Zealand in December.
