Arrangements have been made for the ferry steamer Maori to be overhauled and surveyed at Port' Chalmers next month. The vessel will leave- Wellington as usual on Tuesday, Soptomber 29, for Lyttelton, and will proceed from the latter port to Port Chalmers. The Monowai, whichis at present at Wellington refitting after having taken tho Eipeditionary Force to Samoa, will reliove tho Maori in the ferry service. Sho has been scheduled to leave Lyttelton for Wellington on tho evening of Wednesday, September 30. ISLANDS SERVICES RESUMED. According to a cablegram received from Sydney, the Union Company's steamers Atua and Tofua, which have been, detained at Svdney, cleared that port for tho. Islands on Saturday. Tho Atua has gone direct to Suva, and then on to Melbourne, whilst the Tofua has gone to Apia, Vavau, and Nukualofa. She will return to Sydney via Suva.
