Tory high barometrio pressure has ruled since the sth inst., especially in the north, but the barometer has fallen steadily during the- past forty-eight hours. Gales were reported to-day in. tho extreme north, with increasing cloudiness generally, and a storm area exists south of the Dominion. D. 0. BATES.
