HOSPITAL WIN FIVE-A-SIDE TO ORNAMENT. As the various competitions for tho 1914 season have closed, the Management. Committee of Wellington Football Association organised a successful five-a-side tournament on their own ground at Kilbirnie on Saturday afternoon. It was a good afternoon's sport, and 40 games were played. Hospital came out winners after having played throughout the afternoon without having a goal scored against them. Thistles were the runncrs-up. The referees wore Messrs. Lithgow, Hutcheson, and Hawkins, while Mr. J. _Paton was steward. The junior five-a-side competition, for which there are a host of entries, will be played on Saturday next. The result of Saturday's games were as follow, the figures ' t in parentheses being the official numbers of tho teams: Brooklyn (1) defeated Corinthians (2) by default.
