Messrs. Dalgety- and. Co., Ltd., report:— At our Fcildlng sole on Friday we had 'a very fair entry of sheep, and a small yarding of cattle. Sheep meot with keen competition, and sold at the following prices :-Medium hoggets, to 14s. Ud.; black face hoggets, 13s. 9d.; good mixed hoggets, k> 17s. 3d.; mixed age ewes with lambs, 245. 4d.; forward shorn ewes. 155.; light fat awe 3; lto.; a line of 378 2-tooth wethers realised 21s. -7d.; mixed fat sheep to Z2s. 6d.; backward'dairy heifers, £4, £4 10s., to £5. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their fortnightly Dan-novirke sale held ou Friday:—A medium entry of both sheep and cattle were offered. Prices , for fats throughout were good, showing an advance on last sale's report. Good hoggets were also in good demand. Following is a list of prices:—Sheep: Mixed sex hoggets, to •175.-6 d. Cattle: Cows in calk, £4; Jersey cross yearling heifers, £3; light fat heifers, £6 10s.; fat cows; to £9 55.; light fat bullocks, £10 to £10 10s.; prime bullocks, to £12. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile -Agency Co., Dtd., reDC-rt:—At the Dannevirke sale held on-'Friday a moderate yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle were offered. Dairy stock was in poor demand, there being practically nb sale for same. Sheep sold fairly well up to late rates. We quote: Empty ewes.- 20s. 7d. to 18s.; wcaner pigs, 15s. to 14a.; porkers, £1 os. 6d.. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., .report:-On Friday at Feilding wo had a- fair entry of sheep and cattle and have to report a good sale at the following prices:—Sheep: Small ewe hoggets, 12s. to 14s. 2d.; small wether hoggets, 13s. lOd. to 14s. Id.; mixed hoggets. 13s. 7d.; b.f. hoggets, lis. 9d. Cattle:. Small yearling heifers. 30s ; 15 months hoifeTs, £2 lis. to £2 165.; yearling steers, small, £2; heifers in calf, £3 10s. to £4 10s.; springing heifers, £5 10s. to £6 10s.; aged storo cows, £2 lis. to £3 2s. 6d.; etorecowe, £4; forward cows,. £5 12s. . Messrs. Williams and Kettle, Ltd.,Dannevirke. report having held.their fortnightly, sale In the Miller E<iad yards on Friday, when they offered a small yarding of sheep and a fail- yarding of cattle. Prices on tho whole were Satisfactory, -with the exception of dairy stock,' which were very hffinj. -to quit.. We quote as follows:— . Messrs. W. and G. TumbuU and Co., Ltd.. report 'having held their weekly sole in • their Carterton £«le yards on Friday. There was a. good yarding of sheep, cattle, and piffa well above advertised unmbere. Competition was not as keen for sheep <i 3 at last sales, bat pigs and cattle were well competed for, and the bulk of tho yarding was sold at the following - prices:—F.m. ewes in lamb, 18s.; cull hoggets, 9s. lid.; medium, 12s. 7d. to 14s. lOd. Piss: Weancrs, 12a. to 12s. 9d.; silos, 12s. U. to Us. 6d.; good slips, Sis. 6d. to 23e. 6d.; porkers, 345.
