THE STH REGIMENT

TRAINING THE RESERVES. A successful battalion parade of the sth (Wellington) Regiment was held on Saturday. A, B, and C Companies paraded at the Garrison ' Hall, and members of D Company at Johnsonville and Lower Hutfc. The General Training Section reserves, who have been called up to complete the strength of the regiment, and to fill vacancies caused by the departure of many members of tho regiment with the Expeditionary Force to Samoa, attended in good numbers. The drafting of the new composition took some time, and the Wellington section then performed a satisfactory route march, and went through sufficient training to enable the new men to work well with other Territorials Uniforms have not been supplied yet to all the General Training Section, so that a number of them paraded in mufti. Tho following temporary promotions have been made in,"A" Company:—Sergeant N. Amies to be Acting Q.M.S., Privates'o. C. Miles, P. J. O'Connor, A. C. Beaumont, — Stanyoii, Wilkes, Wl A. Holmes, and-E. M'Quade to bo acting-corporals.
