AMERICAN SHIP 'IN PORT. After e- passage of 62 days, the American fo-iir-raasted schooner Annie M. Campbell made port, from Puget Sound yesterday moraine. The sailer, cleared the American port on July 18, lnden with 724,000 feet of Oregon timher. and according to her varustor, Captain T. Hansen, the passage hod been uneventful. Tho Norwegian barque Agada is bringing a cargo of guano from the Seychelles Islands for Dunedin. Four Norwegian sailing vesels are listed to arrive at Bluff shortly with guano. They iuclude the barque Caimsmore, from Surprise Island; the barque Irene, and the Oberon, from Maiden. Island. The four-mac-ted bo-rquentine Rimac is also bringing a cargo of guano from FabTo Iβland for Bluff. OREGON PINE SHIPMENTS.' Recent flics show that quite a large number of .sailing vessels ore coming to New Zealand ports with Oregon timber shortly. They include • the four-masted schooner William Bowodcn, 695 tone, which left Columbia River on August 25 for the Bluff. The four-masted American schooner Winslow, 497 tone, has been chartered to load a cargo of timber at Columbia River for Divnedin, with the option of other ports. Other vessels to load timher at Gray's Harbonr and Columbian River for Dunedin are tho four-masted schooner Commerce, 621 tons, and the John A. Oaumboll, 462 tons. The four-masted schooner Kolto Head is loading timber at Puget Sound for Auckland, and the four-masted schooner A. B. Johnson, 468 tons, left Puget Sound on August 28 with a cargo of timber for Napier. According to, advices received in Wellington, the steamer Strathdee is at present loading' at San Francisco on behalf of the Union Company, for' Wellington and Australian ports. The October loading at Vancouver and . Sen Francisco for New Zealand and Australian ports will be taken by the , Wyondotte. Early yesterday morning the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Opawa made her appearance at Port Chalmers from London direct. She cleared the Home port on August I—four doye ■ before war broke out between. Britain and Germany—and has completed tho long journey in 48 days. The Karamca is due at Wellington from Timatru on September 22. She will I)e dispatched from this nort for London about the end of next week. A telegram received in Wellington stat<\i that the lora-lly-owned scow Echo left West Haven, timber laden, for Nelson, yesterday morning. Mr. H. A. Peters has been engaged as third officer of the Arahura. It is reported that the steamer Phyea is loading a. cargo of caeo-oil at Singapore for New Zoo-land. Messrs.
