The Prime Minister -announced in the Mouse yesterday afternoon that the Goteminent had received a recommendation tiom the lood Commission as to the prices at, which wheat and flour should be sold in New Zealand. The recommendation would have to come before the Cabinet, probably to-day, or, at the latest, on Monday, and so far as he was able to say at present the recora--mendation would come into forco right away. If there was any exploitation going on, as had been suggested in a question asked by Mr. Oolriii. the people responsible for it wculd have to take the consequences, as the law would be put into operation.
