The issue of the > great battle raging along tho Aisne still remains in doubt. A sum- ■ mary of the British operations from Thursday to Sunday last has been received from the High Commissioner, and appears below. The only item bearing on the, campaign in Galicia is a statement from Vienna that the Austrians have fallen back on, their second line of defence.
