Watson, who was the first leader of the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party, and was in 1904 Prime Minister and Treasurer of the Commonwealth, has resigned tho presidency of the Colliery Employees' Federation. He is succeeded by Mr. D. Roes. . Melbourne, Septembor 16. A Government caucus will meet tomorrow for the election of tho new Ministry. , ' THE WERRIWA SEAT. (Rec. VICTORIAN LOAN PROPOSALS. : (Rec. September 16, 8.35 p.m.) Melbourne, September 16. Parliament is considering Bills authorising the Government to raise loans of £2,500,000 in London, and £3,000,000 in Melbourne for public works.
