THEFT OF JEWELLERY
A GISBORNE CASE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Clsborno, September 16. Charles Henry Newton, alias Murray, was convicted of burglary at Grieves'e jowellery establishment. Ho was sentenced to two years', imprisonment, and declared an, habitual criminal. Tho value of the goods stolen was between £1000 and £1700, and since the prisoner. was sentenced' yesterday the wholo of tho swag has been recovered from various "plants" in town.
