0 Beforo a big audicnco last evening at the Sailors' Friend Society's Institute Miss Hardie presented a most popular concert of vocal' and instrumental items. The encores wero very many, showing that Wellington knows how to entertain her visiting sailors. Those who assisted Miss Hardio wore: Mrs. Flood, tho Misses Mueller and Gold, ' and Messrs. Gallaway, Oakley, Quilliam, Halbast, Mason, Halbert, and Yulo (s.s. Regulus). . , Mr. Moore, Missioner, who was in tho chair, spoke briefly 011 the temperanco question, and tho men , signed tlio pledge; The prizes in the competition's went to Mr. Martin, H.M.S. N'.Z. T G. On Tuesday evening there was a very big attendance of seamen at the debate. They discussed with vigour and feeling "Do Alliances Do Good?" "Is It Possible to Abolish War?" "Is a Man Justified in Making the Most of Himself?" __________
