EASY VICTORY AT INVERCARGILL (By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) Invercarglll, September 16. A ladies' hockey match between the English touring team and a Southland representative team was played to-day in splendid weather and uofore a very .large _ attendance. The visitors were superior to the local team in all departments of the game, and showed a much greater knowledge of its fiuer points. Tlieir physique was also immeasurably superior. Tlie Southland team wa,s for most of the time strenuously occupicd in staving off the visitors' attacks. England won eight goals to one. For the visitors goals were scared by Miss Morgan (4), and Miss Leacroft (4). Miss Smaill scored for Southland. During their stay here the visitors have been kept 011 the move with entertainments provided for tliem- and they express themselves as having'had a most enjoyable time.
