CCoates (Kaipara). He asked the Prime Minister whether he was yet able to give any information on tho subject. _ Mr. Coates stated that there was considerable anxiety on the part of Auckland producers. , 'Mr. Massey replied that the matter was receiving the attention of the Government, but he woidd not be abl to make a definite statement until the 1 report of the Committee set up to co isider tlio Question came to hand, lv, the meantime, the Government was endeavouring to make arrangements , so that the interests of the producers would' not suffer through the delay in the departure of the transports. Nothing, he said, would be left undone to safeguard < the interests of tho, pi> ducers.
