It has been decided to open the lawns -on Satru-day next, September 19. V Mrs. C. F. Vallance (Kahumingi) is visiting Wellington, and is staying at tho Hotel Ceoil. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barton (Wairarapa) havo been spending a few days in town, and yesterday they left for Trentham, en ronto for their homo. Captain and Mrs. Hawkins (Napier) are staying at tlio Grand Hotol. Mr. and Miss Blennerhassett (Wanganui) are visiting Wellington. The sum of £14 was made at Miss Campbell's "At Homo" on Monday afternoon by tho sale of flowors and sweets, and this amount will be handed over to the Bolgian Relief Fund. Tlio Bucklor-Pagot Company- has sent to the nurses of tho Wellington Hospital two season tieketß, a kii.dnoss which will bo greatly appreciated by tlio nurses. Information has been recoived in Wellington of tho death of Miss Pownall, matron of tho Rotorua Sanatorium, who passed away after a long illness.
