The Russians have gained a glorious victory over the Austrian and German armies at Krasnik and Tomaszov. The enemy was driven aoross the San (a tributary of the Vistula). A great success was achieved against the Austrians: west and north-west of Leinhorg. The Press Bureau reports that the Russians captured several hundred guns in the fighting north-west of Lemberg. ■ An official report from Petrograd, via Rome, states that Przemysl and Cracow have surrendered to the Russians. The "Matin's" correspondent at Petrograd, in a message to Paris, reports that General von Auffenborg's army lost 300 officers and 28,000 men, and 400 guns; the second army lost as prisoners 500 officers and 70,000 men.
