Green, ivho has come ashore to sit for his master s certificate. ■ The Marino Department has been advised to the cffcct that the lightship at the Bluff lias been removed from its position for overhaul. During the absence of the light the position will be marked by a conical black buoy. An arrival at Auckland from Apia (Samoa) at 6.55 a.m. on Saturday was tho Union Company's steamer Monowai, which •was chartered by the Admiralty to tako part of the Now Zealand Expeditionary Force to.Samoa. Slio continued her journey to Wellington at 10.15 p.m., and should arrive in port either to-morrow evening or Wednesday morning. (
