If the Union now shrank from its duty it would be undeserving of the liberty it secured at the Peace o£ Vereeniging after the Boer War. FIGHTINC IN KAMERUN. BRITISH OFFICERS KILLED. London, September 11. There has been some fighting in the German colony of Kamerun, in West Africa. , Three British officers were killed and four wounded, and four are missing. All belonged to the Nigeria Regiment. Nothing is published beyond the casually list. : NYASALAND ENCACEMENT. GERMAN PORT OCCUPIED. (Rec. September 13, 5.5 p.m.) Blantyre, September 12. The casualties in tho fight with the German invaders at Karonga • included three planters killed, three wounded, and one missing.
