"SAMSON AND DELILAH."
The Royal AVellinetton Choral Society will present the public ou Friday next, September 18, with au up-to-date, musical attraction in tho French' opera of "Samson and Delilah.". It is'the work of the greatest liviug French composer, Camille Saint Saens, and has never yet .been performed in New Zealand. A very strong cast of principals have, been, engaged. The box plan' opened at the Dresden yesterday, and tie booking is said to be heavy. A very successful rehearsal was held last evening, and there will be a rehearsal on Tuesday next- for orchestra and principals, and the final rehearsal will bo held in the Town Hall on. Thursday, when only those taking part will be admitted. Programmes and books • of words are now on sale at the Dresden and AV. J. Lankshear's, at 3d." each.
