. An enjoyable concert, organised by Dr. Purdy in aid of tlio War Relief Fund, was held at the Lower Hutt Town Hall las.t evening, tho Mayor (Mr. H. Baldwin) presiding ovor a largo gathering. A largo New Zealand Ensign was displayed, and most of the items wero of a patriotic nature. The performers wore: Mrs. Paten, Miss Phoobo Parsons, R.A.M.C., the Misses Segrief, and Messrs. Hugh Wright, Hamilton Hodge's, C. Hickmott, A. Newton, F. V. Waters, Dx. Purdy, and E. J. Hill.Mrs. E. H. Quereo presided at tho piano, and tho performance concluded with the singing of "Rule Britannia" by •M-γ. E. J. Hill, assisted by a chorus.
