BELGIANS DRIVE THE GERMANS SOUTH
A TRIUMPHANT OFFENSIVE PUTCH TOWNS DECLARED IN STATE OF SIEGE (Reo- September 11, 7 p.m.) London, September 10, evening. The Belgians have assumed a triumphant offensive from Antwerp, and are driving the Germans back to the vicinity of Louvain. (Bee. September- 11, 10 p.m.) Amsterdam, September 10. The Belgians continue a vigorous offensive movement, and have driven the Germans from the neighbourhood of Aerschot and Diest, capturing three hundred prisoners. Amsterdam, September 10. A Royal Proclamation has been issued declaring all Dutch ports and aE frontier towns and villages to be in a state of siege. German operations in Northern Belgium are causing increasing anxiety,. The judges and lawyers at Brussels have struck because General Baron von der Goltz, the Military Governor, placed guns in front of the Palaise de Justice and allowed the people to attend the Court without passes. 1• ' ■
