IN AID OF THE BELGIANS
The members of the Khandallah Literary and -Debating Society held a patriotic concert in tho Town Hall, Khandallah, on Wednesday evening. There wae a very large, attendance, and His Worship the Mayor.of Onslow, Mr. 0. C. Crump, presided. Vocal and other items were rendered to an appreciative audienco by Messrs. D. V. LiUicrap, F. Holdsworth, and H. Graves, and recitations by Messrs. H. L. James, A. B. Bucld, and H. E. Anderson. Tlie accompanists woro Miss Pnge and Mr. N. Crump. The president of tho Debating ■Society, Mr. J. H. ttichardson, delivered a patriotic address, and strongly urged the claims of tho Belgian people. As a result of the concert £15 was raised, and after meeting all expenses there will be handed over to the fund £11 10s. During the evening a box of chocolates valued at 2s. was auctioned by tho scoretary, Mr. W. Appleton, who wielded the hammer, and brought in the sum of £2 17s. A basket of flowers also realised 10s. 20,000 DOCTORS are recommending Plasmon because-r "Plasmdn added to any food both enriones the flavour and increases the nutritive v.alu.9 enormously."—"Lancet.
