The Times" correspondent at Petrograd says.:—"Tho Germans must now dance to the Allies' music. Two millions of Russians are on ! the Austro-Geroian frontiers, and present an awful menace. Tho Austrians quail :-■ and the Germans are forced to modify their plans owing to the necessity of dividing their armies to protect tho three hundred miles of frontier from Danzig southwards. This means tiat the position is becoming more favourable to tho Allies daily, and more difficult for the Germans. Military experts consider that the immediate object of the Russian advance is to crush the enemy and concentrate between AUenstein aud DeutscheEylau, and. thus to command tho passage of .tho Vistula.—("Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.) : • ■■■ .■ ■ ' '■/:.. Doutsche-Eylau and Allenstein are on. the railway from Thorn to Insterburg, which runs parallel with the frontier of East Prussia. Deutsohe-Eylau - is 59 miles from Thorn by rail, and Allenstem, the scone,of the recent Rus--sian reverse, is 42 miles further on. 200,000 GERMANS SENT EASTWARD, ... - •■■ . Petrograd, September 9.
