CONCERT AT ISLAND BAY

— * . A grand patriotic concert, followed by a dauce, was held in tho Assembly Hall at Island Bay last night. The building was well filled, and as a result of the gathering a good sum will' be added to the Relief of Distress Fund. During the evening tho Hon F. M. B. Fisher dolivered a patriotic address, touching upon tho European situation and upon tlio taking of Samoa. A firstclass programmo had been arranged, and the various items wero well received by tho audienco. A feature of the entertainment was tho item, "Sons of Now Zealand," in which a 'prominent part was played by a real live bulldog. While this number was being rendered several coins were thrown on the stage to help the fund. /
