Tlio "Daily Tolegraph," in a leader, referring to tho defeat of tho Federal Government, says: "When tho history cf Australia's first real crisis is written, the simple truth will domand tho admission that tho honour and safety of tho country received full justice at the hands of tlio Cook Government." THE SENATE RETURNS. (Roc. September 10, 1.25 a.m.) Sydney, September 9. The Senate returns are still rolling in. Threo Labour candidates lead for New South Wales, followed by two Liberals. Mi-. Chris. Watson (Labour) and Mr. Oakes (Liberal) are making a stiff for sixth place.
