Returns for the port of Westport in connection with tlio output and export of coal for the month of August show 'thatthe-port, has established a record,! despite the had condition of the bar on soveral days during the period mentioned. The output and export of coal was' as follows:—Westport Coal Company, ltd.—Coal: output, 60,965 tons; export, 61,021 tons; coke: output, 149 tons 130wt.; export, 151 tons 2cwt. Westport-Stockton Coal Co., Ltd.— Coal:- output, 15,707 tons 3cwt.\; export, .15,437 tons 12cwt.
