HUTT RIVER BOARD

: The Hutt River Board mot on Thursday, there being present: Messrs. Baldwin (chairman;,, weiou, -Kennedy, and Bowers. Messrs. The groyne at Hooper's was also completed—length, 121 ft., costing £43 Bs. lid. At Chapman's Bend, in..tho .western arm, staked willows of a chain in width bad been placed at a- cost of £7 3,i. The report (which was adopted) also recommended that a groyne be put in at Alicetown, as the river was threatening seevral / portions of tho banks thero.
