WEEKLY PARADES

BUILDING, UP THE FIFTH REGIMENT. ' As it has been decided to fill the. vacancies in the sth (Wellington) Regiment from the General Training Section, the members of which have .had practically no. training, it has. been deemed advisable by the military mthorities to hold weekly parades of the different companies, in place.of the ordinary fortnightly parades. These will be continued until the men of the General Training Section have received sufficient training to enable them to com- , pete in the manoeuvres with the Territorials. Company parades of A., B.; C.i and D. Companies will be held ou ,the following dates:—A Company, September 8, Garrison Hall; B Company .September 7, Garrison Hall; C Company, September 9, Garrison Hall; D Company, September 7, Lower Hutt and Petone; D Company, September 10, Johnsonville. . .'. Interest at the present time is centred round the operations of the Expeditionary Force and Warships in the Pacific, especially Samoa, Now Guinea, Fiji, Hawaii, etc. .
